Writer and filmmaker Veronica Gonzalez Peña is the author of The Sad Passions; twin time: or, how death befell me, which won the Premio Aztlán Literary Prize in 2007; and So Far from God, all published by Semiotext(e). She is also the founder of rockypoint Press, a series of artist/writer collaborative prints, books, and films, as well as rockypoint Productions. Her latest film, Pat Steir: Artist, is an intimate and poetic first-person, character-driven documentary.
